Counselling service offers free mental health checkups

Jan 23, 2024 | 12:17 PM

STG La Ronge Counselling is offering annual mental health checkups free of charge.

The service focuses on mood, anxiety, and stress evaluations, and is meant to be a leap forward in integrating mental well-being into everyday health practices.

The checkups aim to proactively address mental health issues, encouraging early intervention and open conversations about emotional well-being.

Recognizing the challenges of traditional mental health access, La Ronge Counselling has also embraced online accessibility. This approach ensures convenience and also enhances privacy and comfort, thereby reducing the stigma often associated with mental health discussions.

“Integrated well-being requires proactive measures for mental health on par with physical health,” said managing partner Dr. Chris de Feijter in a media release.

“Our commitment to free annual checkups is a significant step towards this goal.”

By offering these checkups, STG La Ronge Counselling is not only addressing current needs, but is also paving the way for a future where comprehensive well-being is a reality for everyone. This service is open to all, aiming to make mental health care accessible and inclusive.
