Raiders fall short in Bridge City
A late goal from Sloan Stanick wasn’t enough as the Prince Albert Raiders lost 3-2 to the Saskatoon Blades Saturday night at SaskTel Centre.
The Raiders scored just 29 seconds into the game as Niall Crocker found the net in his 200th career WHL game. But the Blades would score the next three goals in the contest to eventually hang on for the win.
Stanick’s third period marker was also the first shorthanded goal for the Raiders this season.
Raiders goaltender Max Hildebrand was superb, stopping 30 shots in a losing effort.
