The Bears would fall in their third game, 3-2 to the Yellowhead Chiefs with Tristyn Endicott and Raelyn Vezeau scoring for P.A.

In the final game of round-robin play, the Bears cruised a 4-2 victory over the Pembina Valley Hawks with goals from Summach, Endicott, Marly Dumanski, and Kinley Brassard.

Despite the 2-2 record in the tournament, Young was impressed with the team’s performances.

“I think for us there was success there and just getting the girls to understand how we have to play down the stretch here.”

The Bears are heading into the season’s home stretch with a 2-13 record, but Young believes they can end the regular season on a high note.

“We have to have success as a team and everybody understanding their roles and responsibilities and I think since just before Christmas, the girls have done a really good job of understanding that and working and getting better every day,” he said. “We have to be in the games from start to finish in order for us to have success.”

The Bear’s next game is on Feb. 8 as they welcome the Saskatoon Stars to the Art Hauser Centre.
