Suspect wanted in Pelican Narrows assault arrested

A man wanted after a serious assault in Pelican Narrows has been arrested.

Pelican Narrows RCMP arrested 18-year-old Aiden Charles at a home in the community Jan. 26.

Charles will appear in court in Pelican Narrows Feb. 1.

RCMP say a group of people approached a woman in Pelican Narrows early in the morning of Dec. 26, 2023 and assaulted her. She was taken to hospital with what were described as serious injuries.

Charles and 20-year-old Shante Beatty are each charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and charges related to breach of court order conditions.
