Oseemeemow charged with second-degree murder following death of man on Big Island Lake

The adult male who was beaten on Big Island Lake Cree Territory in January and was later brought to the hospital with serious injuries has died.

His next of kin have been notified.

Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested and charged 35-year-old Doreen Oseemeemow and charged her with one count of second-degree murder while dropping the charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Oseemeemow will appear back in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 12.
