RCMP investigating firearm incident at Deschambault Lake

A firearm incident in Deschambault Lake has triggered a police investigation.

Deschambault Lake RCMP received a report of a possible gunshot at a home in the community at 7 a.m. Monday morning.

Upon arriving, officers saw a broken window that appeared to be damaged by a gunshot.

Soon after, police were called about an injured person at the local clinic. A man was receiving treatment for a non-life threatening injury consistent with a gunshot wound.

The preliminary RCMP investigation has determined the incidents are not random in nature and are likely connected.
