Feb 28, 2024 | 4:08 PM

An RCMP plane with three passengers made a safe landing at Glass Field in Prince Albert this afternoon, watched carefully by Prince Albert Fire.

The plane was reported to be having issues with the landing gear indicator but touched down smoothly around 3 p.m.

The fire department’s ladder truck, command unit and multiple Prince Albert police vehicles were all on scene.

paNOW was on the scene and overheard comments that there was a “funny smell” on the plane.

RCMP communications said there was a sensor error and the plane will be checked out before it’s put back into service.

All three people on board were RCMP members. The plane had departed from Wollaston Lake.

paNOW is awaiting call backs from the Transportation Safety Board and the Prince Albert Fire Department.
