Don’t mess with the Rock…

Having already collected over a dozen victims in over a year, and showing no signs of stopping, the rocks at Cornerstone Crossings parking lot in Prince Albert have earned a certain degree of celebrity status.

In recent weeks, there have been memes created and the rocks even have their own social media page. As of Friday, the page had nearly 700 followers.

Rock Developments, the company that owns the property, has so far not responded to paNOW‘s requests for comment.

In October, 2022, when paNOW first talked to local businesses in the area, they described what was happening as the source of a pretty good laugh, and even suggested it’s become the source of a running bet.

In an attempt to have some fun with the story and show news does not always have to be serious, paNOW ventured out to the crime scene to get some concrete answers. *This was NOT a serious report.

Earlier this week, when paNOW contacted SGI, they indicated they had to date only received one claim related to the rocks. SGI was also able to confirm asking a business to remove an object like this is not something SGI typically does.

“It’s difficult to speculate on whether it’s something we would ever do in the future without knowing the specific circumstances,” they said.
