One person sent to hospital after crash near Star City

A single-vehicle collision near Star City this week has sent a person to hospital.

The Melfort Fire Department were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash north of Star City just after nine Thursday morning.

A vehicle was found on its side in the ditch and a single occupant was found inside.

The roof of the vehicle had to be removed to get to the person, who was transferred into the care of EMS personnel.

The occupant was then taken to hospital, and there is no update on their condition.
