House in RM of Kinistino destroyed by fire

A house was destroyed after a fire in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Kinistino.

Melfort Fire and Rescue were called to the scene early Monday afternoon.

By the time crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames.

A water shuttle from Melfort, then from James Smith Cree Nation, was set up, and a second engine from Melfort was called to help in shuttling water.

The house was a complete loss despite crews battling the blaze all afternoon.
