One person was taken to the Victoria Hospital early this morning after being assaulted with a metal ball attached to a rope wielded by two teens.

Prince Albert Police said that just after 4:30 a.m. on April 4, they were called to the unit block of Marquis Road West.

The victim told police that they had been assaulted with the ball and rope, threatened and had their personal belongings taken. They also had a head injury from the incident and were cared for by EMS before being taken to the hospital for further assessment.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man behind a business in the 3300 block of Second Avenue West.

The younger teen is charged with robbery and wearing a disguise with intent.

A male suspect, Kosty Junior Stewart, was charged with robbery. Both appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning. The youth in this case cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
