Province wants feedback on Highway 4 twinning proposal
The provincial government is asking for public feedback on the proposed twinning of Highway 4.
The proposal would see more eight kilometres of twinned road north of North Battleford and the initial consultation process began two years ago when, after receiving feedback, the Ministry of Highways decided the highway should be twinned from a North Battleford to 300 metres or more north of Hamlin Road.
“Right now, we’re in the planning stages for proposed safety improvements on Highway 4,” said Dan Palmer, senior communications consultant. “There’s currently no timeline for construction, what we’re involved with right now is detailed planning for the future.
According to the government’s website, following the initial consultation, some of the concerns laid out included the timeline, cost and impacts on the environment and landowners.
