TheatreFest in North Battleford – Speech and Song

Apr 12, 2024 | 9:15 AM

We have an incredible line up of public workshops available during TheatreFest 2024: “Living Theatre” in North Battleford this month.

On Wednesday, April 24 join us at the Dekker Centre from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for Speech and Song with Joseph McLellan.

Free your voice for speech and song in this vocal workshop with musician and theatre artist Joseph McLellan. We will begin by expanding our breath and warming up our bodies and vocal chords through physical and vocal exercises. Then we will explore vocal and performance technique on a Sonnet and piece of music of your choosing. We will conclude with a presentation of our work to the class.

*Please note, some preparation is required for this workshop so we encourage you to register in advance.

This workshop is open to the public, and costs only $5 for members of a TSI member group, or $20 for non-members. There is also a special rate for students that can be arranged with us directly.

To register or to learn more please email our Executive Director at nena@theatresaskatchewan.com .

Stay tuned for details on the rest of the exciting workshops. We would also like to give a special thank you to Battlefords Community Players for their support as cohosts of this year’s TheatreFest and accompanying workshop series.
