An investigation into a collision near Kinsmen Park last November has resulted in another arrest and more charges.

On Nov. 19, 2023, Prince Albert Police were called to an area on 22nd Street East near the Cooke Municipal Golf Course for a single vehicle collision.

Further investigation found that a second vehicle was involved and that occupants of that vehicle opened fire, injuring one person.

Police say Clarence Sewap, the man injured, continues to recover.

Last Friday, one of the suspects, Kye Rees was arrested in Moosomin and charged with attempted murder, firearms offences, criminal negligence causing bodily harm, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.

Rees made his first appearance in court on Tuesday and the case has been adjourned until Thursday at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Meanwhile, a 42-year-old woman has also been charged for obstruction of justice for her role in this investigation. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 22.
