UPDATE: RCMP said that Sakebow was found in Witchekan Lake on April 24 and will be in North Battleford Provincial Court tomorrow.

An Edmonton man charged with killing Teddy Whitehead on the Witchekan Lake First Nation last July is now being sought by Spiritwood RCMP.

Nathaniel Sakebow, age 33, was charged with manslaughter last year along with 35-year-old Chase Cardinal, both in connection with Whitehead’s death.

Spiritwood police say on April 23 they were told he had tampered with the electronic monitoring device he was wearing.

Sakebow was released from remand five days previously on April 19 with the conditions he wear the monitoring device and remain inside an approved residence 24 hours per day.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest for breaching court-ordered conditions. Spiritwood RCMP are actively working to locate and arrest him.

Sakebow is 5-7 tall and approximately 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

He is known to travel to Pelican Lake First Nation and Witchekan Lake First Nation, but his current whereabouts are unknown.

Anyone that sees him should not approach him and instead, should call their local police and report the sighting.
