The Prince Albert Raiders have finalized the deals with a couple of their top draft picks.

The team announced recently they have signed both defenceman Brock Cripps and forward Ben Harvey to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements. The Raiders selected both players in the first round of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft earlier this month.

Cripps was drafted second overall, while the team traded up to take Harvey in the fourth overall spot.

“Ben is an elite thinker and a complete 200-foot player. He played in every situation and was the first player sent over the boards in many situations by his coaches,” said Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt in a release. “We are extremely happy to have Ben and his family join our Raider Family.”

Cripps, a native of Victoria, B.C., played for St. George’s School U15 Prep last season, putting up 70 points in 26 games.

Harvey, born in Edmonton, played for the U15 Northern Alberta Xtreme last year and totalled 19 goals and 33 assists in 27 games, with his team winning the Western Championship along the way.
