Three people charged in Meadow Lake drug bust

A 39-year-old man from Flying Dust First Nation is one of three people charged by Meadow Lake RCMP following a traffic stop on Highway 55 last week.

A 33-year-old woman and 57-year-old man from Meadow Lake were also arrested by police after 2.4 kilograms of cocaine were seized.

RCMP officers found the drugs along with unstamped tobacco and drug trafficking paraphernalia in the vehicle at about 9 p.m.

All three people are charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on June 24.
