The driver of a pickup truck that ended up in the Shell River yesterday was treated for minor injuries, said Parkland Ambulance.
Buckland Fire and Rescue was called to the bridge on Highway 3 just after 5 p.m. for a water rescue and called the Prince Albert Fire Department to bring out their water rescue team as a mutual aid call.
No information was given on what caused the truck to first collide with a street light, damage the guard rail and drive into the river.
Traffic was stopped from using the bridge while the vehicle was pulled out of the water after PAFD members hooked up the pickup to the tow truck rope.
