Police looking for woman convicted of killing Brett Ledoux

The woman who was convicted and jailed for the killing of Brett Ledoux in 2017 is being sought by Prince Albert Police for violating her probation.

Marissa Bird, age 35, is being sought along with 26 year old William Larocque (assault, robbery with violence, possession for the purpose of trafficking).

At the same time, Crime Stoppers issued the wanted poster for Larocque and Bird, they are also looking for Lee Charles (age 38) on weapons and missing court charges along with Angelique Felix, age 23.

Felix is wanted for breaching her probation and possessing guns.

Bird was convicted of manslaughter in September 2022 after a judge ruled the Crown had not proven the original charge of first-degree murder.

Testimony during her trial showed that Ledoux had gone to a West Flat home to get a ‘minute’, a gang term for a 60 second beating for breaking gang rules.

After the beating was administered, Bird claimed the group of people in the house were playing with a gun and turning its safety on and off.

It was off when Bird shot Ledoux, killing him.

Also convicted of manslaughter in connection with Ledoux’s death was Lenny Daniels, who got an eight-year sentence. Boden Umpherville and William Chaboyer both got three-year sentences for aggravated assault.

Bird was given 7.5 years but with time in custody beforehand, was expected to serve another 18 months, starting in March of last year when she was sentenced.

She had 4.5 years of remand credit.
