North Stars acquire 1st overall pick in ‘08 draft in deal with Notre Dame

The Battlefords North Stars are now on the clock after trading for the top pick in the upcoming ‘08 portion of the SJHL Draft.

The North Stars completed a deal with the Notre Dame Hounds, acquiring the Hounds first overall pick in exchange for their 2nd-round pick in the ‘09 portion of the draft, and a player to be named later.

Following the trade, Battlefords now has two picks in the first round as they also have the ninth overall pick, which is their own.

The 2024 UPL SJHL Draft is slated for 3:00 p.m. on June 11 in Regina.
