Edwards seeks re-election in Ward 6
Prince Albert’s municipal election date is roughly five months away, and another current councillor has made their intentions clear.
Blake Edwards has confirmed plans to seek re-election for Ward 6. He was first elected in 2016, and told paNOW community safety and social concerns are regular topics discussed.
“I have never steered away from having these difficult conversations with people and I have brought forward possible solutions inside the council chamber. I have been a strong voice advocating for enhanced public safety in our community since being elected, and this needs to continue,” he said.
With respect to the community’s social issues, Edwards stressed the need to work with the provincial and federal governments, and cited how during his time in office, he has built relationships within these levels of government to help achieve many of the communities’ goals. Edwards also stressed the importance of working with the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) and their local government.
