Regina and Prince Albert Police arrest 16 after sex trafficking investigation

There are 16 people now facing charges of obtaining sexual services after a police investigation into sex trafficking.

According to a media announcement from the Regina Police Service released yesterday, members of the service’s vice unit, the trafficking response team and the Prince Albert Police Service trafficking response team made the arrests on June 19 and 20.

The two-day project targeted those who prey on the most vulnerable and assisted in combating human trafficking and child exploitation.

The charged have already made their first appearances in provincial court and will be enrolled in a first offender education program.
