City of North Battleford implements fire ban

The City of North Battleford issued an immediate fire ban within the city limits on Aug. 12 at 1:57 p.m.

The fire weather index currently rates the North Battleford area at extreme risk. Only fires in approved fire pits are exempt from the fire ban, and external cooking instruments are allowed.

Any fires or burns that are not in an approved fire pit must be reported immediately to the North Battleford Fire Department by calling 9-1-1. Suspicious behaviour can also be reported to the RCMP at 306-446-1720 or to Community Safety Officers at 306-445-1775.
