Police executed a warrant at a Buffalo Narrows home last Friday, where they located several firearms.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, officers with the Buffalo Narrows RCMP searched a home on Morin Avenue where they located five firearms: a shotgun, two replication firearms and two rifles.

Local members, along with members of the Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team and the Critical Incident Response Team also located a rifle scope, ammunition, and a baton.

A woman and two men were arrested at the scene. The woman and one of the men was released without charge. The second man was found to be in breach of his conditional sentence order. He was arrested pending a court hearing.

A third man, 37-year-old Warren Hansen from Buffalo Narrows, was charged with three counts of unsafe storage of firearms, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and three counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police are now looking for Hansen and ask members of the public to report his whereabouts.

He is 5-9, 170 pounds, has hazel-coloured eyes and brown hair. If you see him, you are not to approach. Instead, you are asked to call local RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing.
