Battlefords Stars searching for host families

The 2024-2025 hockey season is around the corner, and the Battlefords Stars U18 AAA club is on the hunt for billets.

The organization said it wants to welcome to the team in the best way possible.

“I want to pick the right players and provide them with a positive experience, and it’s an experience that they won’t forget,” said Shawn Robinson, the director of hockey operations.

“We want to develop the players to the next level. We provide a positive experience and training, training not only for hockey but also for lifetimes, a team-building culture that transcends hockey.”

Being a billet home comes with perks. The team will provide beds for the players. Billet families can receive complimentary home game tickets and a $500 monthly allowance to help cover the expenses of accommodating a player in their residence.
