Drinking water advisory update

Hudson Bay’s precautionary drinking water advisory to last into next week

Sep 6, 2024 | 3:54 PM

The precautionary drinking water advisory in place in Hudson Bay will be sticking around a little while longer.

The advisory was put in place Aug. 24 due to high turbidity levels.

The town has issued an update on their social media pages, saying the turbidity levels are “improving to a more favourable level.”

The town said they will begin their sampling process once given approval by the Water Security Agency, which they hope will begin early next week.

Residents are advised to boil their water for at least a minute before drinking, using it to brush or soak teeth, wash fruits or vegetables, and for any food or drink that won’t be heated.

The advisory will remain in effect until given the all-clear.
