UPDATED: Missing Onion Lake man found deceased

Update: At 8:46 a.m. on Friday, RCMP stated that Matthew Wade Carter was found deceased.

Onion Lake RCMP say his death is not suspicious and they thank the public for their help in the search.

This story has been updated to include additional information from RCMP.

RCMP in Northwestern Saskatchewan are on the lookout for a missing 36-year-old man from Onion Lake Cree Nation.

Matthew Wade Carter was last seen on Saturday at a home on the reserve.

He is described as being 6’2″ and 260 lbs with short black hair and brown eyes. He is known to wear glasses and police say he was last seen wearing dark-coloured clothes, but his current attire is unknown.

Carter is known to frequent the the Edmonton and Lloydminster areas.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
