Yellow Quill murder case back in court in October

The suspect in a murder case at Yellow Quill First Nation will have his case back in court next month.

Cole Smokeyday, 26, is charged with second-degree murder after a homicide last month.

Rose Valley RCMP were called about an injured person at a home at Yellow Quill, and 24-year-old Terrance Tony-Kishayinew was declared dead at the scene.

Smokeyday will be back in Rose Valley Provincial Court to face the murder charge and one count each of assault and uttering threats Oct. 16.
