UPDATE: Man found seriously injured outside apartment building dies in hospital, death considered suspicious

La Ronge RCMP says the 29-year-old man who was found seriously injured outside an apartment building earlier this week has succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Police are considering his death as suspicious and investigators continue to ask the public to provide any information they may have on the incident leading up to his discovery.

They also urge anyone who has doorbell or home security video footage showing the 1500 block of Bedford Drive in La Ronge between midnight and 6:00 a.m. on Sept. 16 to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

La Ronge RCMP are investigating after a man was found outside an apartment building with serious injuries.

At around 5 a.m. on Monday, officers received a report of a seriously injured 29-year-old man who was located outside the building on Bedford Drive.

The man was then transported to hospital where he remains. Police confirmed there is no increased risk to public safety and more information will be provided when possible.

In the meantime, investigators are asking the public for assistance in this matter. If anyone has doorbell or home security video footage showing the 1500-block of Bedford Drive in La Ronge between midnight and 6:00 a.m. on Sept. 16, contact police by calling 310-RCMP (7267) or by calling Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes are investigating with the assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Section and La Ronge RCMP.
