Water advisory lifted in Hudson Bay

The precautionary drinking water advisory in Hudson Bay has been lifted almost one month after it was put in place.

The advisory was issued Aug. 24 due to high turbidity issues.

Residents have had to boil their water before consumption since then.

The town’s social media pages indicated the advisory was implemented “due to high turbidity levels caused by a mechanical issue in the Water Treatment Plant.”

The issue was fixed but it took some time to adjust the water treatment process, including changing chemical levels.
