5G services increasing connectivity for rural and remote communities in the North
SaskTel is expanding its 5G service to over 50 rural and Indigenous communities in the north.
La Ronge, Buffalo Pound, Red Earth Cree Nation, and 50 other cell sites and several highway corridors will benefit from the improvements to the wireless connectivity.
“The expansion of SaskTel’s 5G network is paving the way for further growth in Saskatchewan, allowing families, businesses and communities to connect faster and more reliably than ever before,” said Dustin Duncan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “The speed and power of SaskTel’s 5G network will create additional opportunities in sectors like healthcare, education and agriculture, keeping Saskatchewan communities strong and vibrant.”
