RECORD SUSPENSION SERVICES PROGRAM VISITING LAC LA RONGE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT ON SEPTEMBER 24^TH AND 25^TH

The John Howard Society of Saskatchewan (JHSS) says they are grateful for the opportunity to visit Lac La Ronge on September 24^th and 25^th to offer their Record Suspension Services program to eligible community members.

Program staff will be on site at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Office (110 La Ronge Ave.) to provide record suspension supports to people who are eligible. Those interested in accessing support with their record suspension application can visit JHSS program staff on the following dates and times:

• September 24^th from 1:00pm – 5:00pm
• September 25^th from 9:00am – 3:00pm.

There are no appointments required to meet with record suspension caseworkers. Those interested in meeting with the Record Suspension Services team on September 24^th and 25^th will be offered program support on a first-come, first-served basis as capacity allows.

Criminal records can be a major roadblock for individuals seeking to better their lives and contribute to their communities. The program has successfully helped many Saskatchewan residents receive their record suspensions, increasing peoples access to employment and educational opportunities. The Record Suspension Services program offers support to people with the record suspension application process and helps to remove barriers and reduce stigma surrounding criminal records.

The Record Suspension Services program is available to everyone with criminal records that are eligible for suspension. Program participants must live within Saskatchewan. JHSS has local offices in Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert.
