The man charged in connection to an armed robbery in the RM of Spalding and a robbery in Wadena now faces similar charges after a robbery in Yorkton.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) is asking members of the public to notify the police as to the whereabouts of 34-year-old Joseph “Joey” Desjarlais.

Yorkton RCMP were called to a report of a robbery at a business on Smith Street early Sunday morning.

Police say a man with a gun entered the business and stole some cash, cigarettes, and the keys to the employee’s vehicle, which he then stole. There were no injuries.

Desjarlais has been charged with robbery with a firearm, theft of a vehicle, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of possessing a weapon contrary to court order.

Desjarlais also faces 10 charges after two people were robbed at gunpoint by two men at a home in the RM of Spalding Sept. 16.

He is described as approximately 5-7 and 130 pounds with brown eyes, short brown hair, and a short beard.

Desjarlais has tattoos of the words ‘public’ and ‘enemy’ with flames on his hands, and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ tattooed on the right side of his neck.

The public is advised not to approach Desjarlais if he is spotted, but to contact police at 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) immediately.
