Teen arrested after shooting on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation

A man is recovering in hospital after being shot at a home on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation on Tuesday.
The victim of the shooting has injuries that are not life-threatening and came after an altercation with another man.
RCMP were called just before 9 p.m. and found the injured man who was then taken to hospital by EMS.
On Wednesday, police arrested 19-year-old Christopher Ballantyne of Ahtahkakoop at a home in the community. He is charged with assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a weapon, having a restricted firearm with ammo and no license or registration among other charges.
