Nominations announced for Tri-Community Awards Gala

The La Ronge and District Chamber of Commerce have released a list of nominations ahead of this weekend’s annual Tri-Community Awards Gala.

The event, which will be held Oct. 26 at the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre, is an opportunity to recognize businesses and individuals for their outstanding success in the communities of Air Ronge, La Ronge and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

Nominees include Children North Early Intervention Program for Non-Profit of the Year, as well as Boreal Colours, Crystal Sterling Property Services, Filibeans, La Ronge Cleaning Services, La Ronge Pharmacy, La Ronge Tattoo, La Ronge General Store, Little Town Coffee Company, Marker 47, No-Limits Goaltending, North Woods Renovation and Tania’s Flowers for Business of the Year (one to five employees).

Abben Heating, Plumbing, Electric and Carpentry, Cravings Late Night Food, Keethanow Group of Businesses, La Country Co-op Food Store, and Pawsitive Attitude Dog Training for Business of the Year (six or more employees); Renzo Mondejar, Billy James Cando, Amabelle Mancio Denton, Martin Bernardin, Matthew Maurer and Laura Hrdlicka for Entrepreneur of the Year.

Jeff Long and Karli Carr for the Hugh Watt Legacy Award; Tammy Cook-Searson, Christopher Merasty, Kyle Sephton, Linda Arcand, Scott Robertson and Stephanie Young for Citizen of the Year; Christy Roberts, Damien Roberts, Don Bernatchez, James Ching, Kevin Roberts, Marvin Ballantyne, Natalie Thompson and Yves Anderson for Employee of the Year.
