Melfort’s Logan Ferland has earned another accolade for his excellent season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Ferland is the club’s unanimous nomination for Most Outstanding Lineman for the 2024 CFL Awards.

Ferland has started all 17 games for the Roughriders this season, displaying his versatility and dependability.

The former Melfort Comet and Regina Thunder lineman has had to fill in at tackle and centre during the season due to injuries along the offensive line. He has played every position along the line except left guard in 2024.

Ferland is normally the right guard and played there for the first 11 games of the season, but started once at right tackle, and the Riders are 4-1 during the last five games he has been forced to start at centre thanks to an injury to Peter Godber.

Ferland was named the top offensive lineman for July by Pro Football Focus and was the top-rated offensive lineman in Week 6 of the season.

The Riders have solidified their offensive line this season, allowing just 32 sacks.

Rolan Milligan Jr. has been unanimously nominated for Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player, and Most Outstanding Special Teams Player.

Milligan Jr.’s breakout campaign has him leading the league with eight interceptions. He also has 10 pass knockdowns, 71 defensive tackles, and leads the team with 20 special teams tackles.

Receiver Samuel Emilus is the Most Outstanding Canadian nominee for a second-straight season, with his second 1000-yard receiving season in a row. He’s just the third Canadian receiver in Rider history to accomplish that feat.

Left tackle Trevor Reid is the team’s Most Outstanding Rookie nominee. Reid has started all 17 games at left tackle and is the first o-lineman to be nominated in the rookie category since Xavier Fulton in 2012.
