Melfort’s municipal election candidates will be front-and-centre at an all-candidates forum this week.

The Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce (MTACC) is hosting Melfort’s City Council Public Forum Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Kerry Vickar Centre.

“Melfort citizens are encouraged to come out with their questions and concerns and meet with the nine members that are letting their name stand for city council,” said MTACC president Lloyd Muntain.

Voters are being asked to write down questions for the candidates, and they will be passed to the panel for them to answer at the forum.

“The public is also asked to stick around after the forum and meet up personally with our future councillors,” Muntain said.

Incumbent councilllors Brian Enge, Trent Mitchell, Tara Muntain, and Doug Terry will be on stage alongside candidates Darryl Benson, Adrian Bourgeois, Rick Fettis, Michael Gerski, and Seth MacNaughton.

Incumbent mayor Glenn George was elected by acclamation.

The municipal election will be held Nov. 13.
