Clifford Woods said the last words he heard his son say before walking out the door, were ‘I’ll be back right back.’

But Lindsay Woods did not return and this Friday marks the one year anniversary of his disappearance.

“We’re trying everything that we can,” Clifford told paNOW.

Lindsay Woods, who was 36 at the time of his disappearance on Nov. 15, 2023, was living with his parents at a four plex in the city’s midtown area. Clifford recalled it was not uncommon for his son to go for walks.

“What he said was there’s something I’ve got something to do but it’ll be OK,” he said.

Noting his son spent most of his time at home, Clifford could not recall Lindsay mentioning any sort of trouble.

Clifford did however mention his own personal concerns related to drug use and a strange feeling he experienced, when earlier that morning, both Lindsay’s girlfriend and another man, suddenly left in a cab.

“They don’t usually leave at 4 o’clock in the morning. They hung around all day and all night. There’s something funny there.”

In addition to reaching out to police, and conducting their own searches, the family has also contacted psychics for help. One confirmed Lindsay was still alive and another mentioned there were two men waiting for him.

“Why, I don’t know. Lindsay is kind hearted, he never hurt anybody, never did anything to anybody, always tried to help people,” Clifford said.

While Lindsay was living in Prince Albert and was not working, Clifford mentioned his son had talked about going to Edmonton or British Columbia. Efforts to contact friends in those area have come up with no answers.

Further noting the fact that a number of holidays and birthdays have passed since Lindsay disappeared, Clifford acknowledged it’s been hard on the family. He’s now hoping anyone with information, no matter how small the detail, will contact police and assist the family in getting closure.
