City of Melfort readies for snow removal after storm system passes
The first major snow in northeast Saskatchewan is upon us, and the City of Melfort says they are prepared.
Director of Public Works Kalyna Cipywnyk told northeastNOW they are ready for the storm system.
“Our crews were able to take advantage of the nice weather in the past couple of weeks to service all of our snow clearing machinery and equipment and are prepared to begin work clearing the streets promptly once the storm subsides,” Cipywnyk explained.
Melfort’s Snow Clearing Priority bylaw states that clearing does not start until snowfall and blowing winds have subsided.
