Man, 23, sent to hospital after weekend shooting

The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a shooting that resulted in a 23-year-old man being sent to hospital with serious, life threatening injuries.

On Sunday, just after 6 a.m., officers responded to the Woodsmere apartment building, which is located in the 300 Block of 32nd St. W.

On arrival, the victim was located suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by Parkland Ambulance to Victoria Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The victim remains in hospital recovering.

As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers. Police are also asking anyone with video surveillance in the area to check their cameras for any footage that may have captured the incident or suspects fleeing the area.
