Roughriders sign Trevor Harris to an extension: reports

The sheriff is back in Saskatchewan.

Quarterback Trevor Harris has signed a contract extension with the Saskatchewan Roughriders according to 3DownNation.

Harris threw for 3,264 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 12 regular season games in 2024 — his second season with the Riders.

Despite missing six games due to a knee injury, Harris was a West Division All-CFL player.

In his second season with the Riders, Harris helped the team get to a 9-8-1 record and back into the playoffs — hosting the CFL West semifinal.

Harris will be 39 in May. In his career, the Edinboro, Ohio, product has thrown for 33,148 yards, 180 touchdowns and 84 interceptions in his CFL career.

The Riders’ season ended with a loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL West Final.

Harris was set to become a CFL free agent on Feb. 11.

Saskatchewan now has 31 pending free agents.
