Hockey Canada has released its rosters for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge, following this week’s three-day selection camp.

Fourty-four players are set to represent Canada East and Canada West, with one of them representing the northeast.

Humboldt Broncos’ forward, Connor Miller has made Team Canada West, as he’ll get the opportunity to don the Maple Leaf for the very first time. He has previous experience representing Saskatchewan at the WHL Cup.

Miller is currently in his third season in Humboldt, suiting up a combined 94 times during that span.

As a Bronco in the regular season and playoffs, the 18-year-old has amassed 53 points.

The Lipton, SK native will be joined by three other SJHLers in Flin Flon Bombers’ forward Koen Senft and defenceman Luke Lepper, as well as Kindersley Klippers d-man Jaxon Herchak.

Flin Flon Bombers’ head coach Mike Reagan will also be taking the reigns as the bench boss of Team Canada West.

The Green and Gol will have another member of their organization at the tournament, as assistant coach and Craven, SK native Carter Hansen will be the team’s video coach.

Missing the cut for Team Canada West during the selection camp this year were Broncos’ forward Jacob Strizzi and defenceman Oakley McIlwain.

The World Junior A Challenge begins Dec. 9 and runs until Dec. 15, as defending champions Canada West begins their tournament against Sweden.
