Man charged with drug trafficking in Little Pine drug bust

A man is facing drug trafficking charges after getting arrested in a search warrant on Tuesday.

Cut Knife RCMP executed search warrants at two houses in Little Pine First Nation as part of the ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

They ended up finding a small amount of methamphetamine, two rifles, a rifle barrel, a BB gun, ammunition, and drug trafficking paraphernalia in one of the homes.

Following the bust, two men and a woman were arrested immediately. However, the woman and one man were later released without charge.

After further investigation, a 26-year-old man is charged with seven offences , including possession for trafficking methamphetamine, failure to comply with probation orders, weapons possession contrary to order, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, and possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration.

He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Wednesday.
