The Tisdale Trojans are heading into their Christmas break on a high note.

The Trojans downed the Prince Albert Mintos 5-2 at the RECPlex Wednesday night.

Tisdale’s Ramy Borowsky scored the lone goal in the first period.

Pryce Thiessen and Eric Han put the Trojans up 3-1 after two periods.

The Mintos closed to within one with just under nine minutes to play, but Carter Geysen scored for the Trojans to restore their two-goal lead.

Eric Han scored his second of the game on the powerplay to give the Trojans the 5-2 victory.

Jackson Dunn made 29 saves in Tisdale’s win.

With the win, the Trojans leapfrog the Mintos for fourth place in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League with a 14-7-5 record, after starting the season 2-5-5.

Tisdale returns to action Jan. 8.
