25-year-old Calgary woman killed in Christmas Eve highway crash
RCMP say a 25-year-old woman from Calgary was killed in a crash on Christmas Eve.
It happened on Highway 7, just west of Rosetown.
Police reported that two semis jackknifed on the road, causing an SUV to collide with one of them. At that moment, other vehicles swerved off the roadway to avoid the accident.
The woman, a passenger in the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The police have notified her family about the loss. Meanwhile, the man who was driving the SUV was hospitalized with injuries that are considered “non-life-threatening.”
