Dexter Lavallee is P.A.’s first baby of the year

It didn’t take long for Victoria Hospital to welcome Prince Albert’s first baby of the year.

Dexter Lavallee was born at 4:08 p.m. on January 1 to parents Sasha Lavallee and Jesse Bird.

The baby boy weighed in at 8 lbs, 8 oz and will become part of the community of Montreal Lake with his mom and dad.

“When I realized I was going to be giving birth to the new years baby I felt happy, but at the end of the day I just wanted him to be alive and well no matter what day he was born,” Sasha told paNOW.

Everyone is doing well and the family would like to thank the nurses and doctors for delivering the baby safe and sound.
