The Winter Knockout Cheer and Dance Competition was held this past weekend in Warman, and a cheerleading squad from Prince Albert came out soaring.

The Prince Alber Cheer Explosion (PACE) Blast U12 all star team, ages 8-12, received first place in their division.

The PACE Burst U6 tiny novice team, ages 4-6, received an Outstanding Award and Judges’ Choice for most potential.

The club also had four athletes compete in individual routines (tumbling/jumps only) and two of them placed in the top three.

Coach Sandra, Coach Nastashia and Coach Kaylee told paNOW they are very impressed with the outcome.

“Also a huge thank-you to our parents of the athletes that have rolled with all the punches,” they said.

The U12 team is off to Edmonton this weekend for the Cold Snap Cheer and Dance Championships. They also have plans to compete twice more in Saskatchewan and in Los Angeles, California in March.
