Two people have been charged in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in Buffalo Narrows.

On January 10, RCMP attended a residence in the community and observed a woman who was on court-ordered conditions that allow a search of her person, vehicle or residence without a warrant.

As a result of investigation, officers located and seized a small amount of cocaine, two knives, dog spray, a sum of cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia at the residence.

Three women and a man were arrested at the scene.

Lacey Sylvestre, 32, from Buffalo Narrows is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and three counts of failing to comply with release order conditions.

Johnny Thompson, 22, from Buffalo Narrows is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

The other two women were later released without charge.
