Timber Bay man charged after serious assault on Christmas Day

RCMP say a serious incident on Christmas morning involved a man being threatened with a gun and then assaulted.

It happened in Timber Bay, which is a small community north of Prince Albert.

The victim’s injuries were fortunately not life threatening.

Roderick Lavallee has been charged with aggravated assault and pointing a firearm, and allegedly thought the victim was coming over to commit a home invasion.

He’ll make his next court appearance on Jan. 22.

Lavallee also has pending trial dates for a number of other charges related to guns, drugs and stolen property, and so as he was out on bail when he allegedly committed the assault, was also charged with a breach.
