Man charged after police find gun, machetes in backpack

A 28-year-old man was arrested by police early Sunday morning after they were called to a business in the 2700 block of 2nd Avenue West.

Prince Albert Police responded just before 12:30 am, and the caller reported that a man had a gun in his backpack.

The responding officers found a man that matched the suspect’s description outside of the business and detained him.

A search of his backpack turned up a gun, ammunition and two machetes.
